Gelsosomo's Pizzeria Macomb

We have dined here many times, routinely a great experience. This was not one of them. After ordering, which we did right away, the 30 min mark i asked how much longer it would be. That waitress never returned to the table. The hostess brought the wrong food for one of us to the table. The appetizer that was supposed to be brought ended up being a kids chicken strip meal. When when she returned with another part of the order 5 min later I asked if this is what the appetizer looks like. She said she noticed they didn't have enough straps so they were making more. I again asked if this was the appetizer. With not a little bit of clear frustration she announced they were making more. I said that isn't the question.. she then said that what I received was the kids meal. These chicken strips were small, clearly pre-made and of poor quality, ntm overcooked. When I asked for a box she brought the box and announced that because we seem to be in a hurry she had brought the check as well. Clearly signaling the end of our interaction. This could very easily could have been a recovered moment with an apology or an update during the wait that they forgot or the order was misplaced or they were really busy with the 4 other parties in the store. Instead, the waitress was not available to return to the table after my inquiry and the hostess felt she need to point out that I was in a hurry.... Food quality... do better Service.... be accountable, be responsive, pay attention to the conversation in the interaction. Overall, do better

Staff is amazing! Quick service and very professional. Food!!! Wow whoever is working the kitchen you guys rock! Our waitress was so nice and very helpful. Pasta is a must here!!! Highly recommend!!

If ypu are ever traveling through Macomb IL Gelsosomo's Pizzeria I reccomend a pit stop. We had a Supreme, Chicken Alfredo, and Margherita. Service was good. Kitchen was fast.

Great food and service every time we visit! Everting on the menu is delicious- you can’t go wrong with anything you choose. The salads are big, the pizzas are always cooked perfectly. The pasta options are really good as well. Gelsosomo’s has a kid’s menu and great specials during the week.

Great pizza and service! I sat at the bar and had a delicious WORKS pizza with a draft of a microbrewed beer. Pizza was served piping hot! Also ate a spinach salad that was good. Ambience was nice too. My only recommendation is to have the kitchen cook/chef invest in a bell to ring vs yelling out repeatedly someone’s name. Lol.

My first time here and the thin crust pizza was great. It's all in the sauce and whatever is in it was the best I have ever had. Service was quick and the food came out hot and tasty. We also had the fried pickles and they were good. Only thing they don't have French fries but thats ok, we still had a good meal.

Always great pizza. Ordered a large 12 canadian bacon 12 pepperoni. The pizza came and it was all canadian bacon, brought it to their attention and they made an additional medium pepperoni pizza at no charge. We eat there when we visit friends & family in Macomb.

My husband brought us here for a day trip. He went to WIU and spent a good portion of his life here. It was great to see this small town and the pizza was just as my husband remembered. It was delicious can't wait to go back
